General Motors has shown a new rival to the BMW X3 and Audi
The new 2025 Cadillac XT5 is larger and more spacious, and its interior features a massive display. The gasoline engine has been supplemented with a hybrid powertrain.
The first official photos of the second-generation Cadillac XT5 have been released. The crossover will soon be unveiled in China and will go on sale this fall. Details were shared on the official website of General Motors’ premium division.
The 2025 Cadillac XT5 crossover will continue to compete with General Motors’ BMW X3 and Audi Q5. Interestingly, the model will debut in China before it does in the U.S.
The new Cadillac XT5 retains its faceted design with slim LED headlights, though its silhouette has changed. The hood is longer, and the rear roof pillars are slimmer. In addition, the grille has been enlarged. The car retains the C1XX platform but has grown slightly in size.

Dimensions of the 2025 Cadillac XT5:

The crossover has become more spacious inside, and its trunk capacity has increased to 653 L. A wide 33-inch display, similar to that in the flagship Cadillac Escalade, has been installed on the dashboard, and most of the buttons in the cabin are touch-sensitive. The front seats are power-adjustable with memory settings, and feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
The new Cadillac XT5 retains the 2.0-liter, 237-si-la turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but it has been supplemented with a 48-volt “mild” hybrid system. The 3.6-liter V6, however, is no longer available. The crossover is equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission and is available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Incidentally, Cadillac recently unveiled a large, 600-silov electric convertible with a very luxurious interior.
