The 2020 Lincoln Aviator Hybrid will have nearly 500 hp
The new Lincoln Aviator certainly has plenty to love. Its elegance, both inside and out, can hold your attention for a long time. As for the technical specifications, Lincoln revised the SUV's output upward, and, as the headline suggests, this is quite a substantial change for a hybrid.
When Lincoln unveiled the Aviator, representatives reported the following figures:
- 450 horsepower in the form of the Grand Touring;
- an optional hybrid powertrain;
- a 3.0-liter Twin-Turbo V6 with electric power.
From a technical standpoint, it was «planned» to reach this figure, but despite all the testing and certification trials, it's clear that Lincoln actively kept its cards close to its chest. The new figures – are simply the result of certification, whereas previously all we had were estimates. With a total output of 494 hp, the Aviator is one of the most powerful in the midsize luxury SUV segment.
What's more, the hybrid Aviator model – isn't the only car to get a power boost. The standard version also runs with two turbines, which develop 400 hp (298 kW) on their own. These figures remained unchanged, however, the torque of 563 Newton-meters grew slightly, compared with the previous 542 Nm planned in November.
The 2020 Lincoln Aviator will cost from $52,195 for the base model and from $69,895 for the Grand Touring plug-in hybrid. And any model
includes many standard items:
- a 10-speed automatic transmission;
- 19-inch wheels;
- fuel-saving active radiator-grille shutters;
- a rear-view camera;
- 10-position heated front seats;
- a 10-inch infotainment screen;
- Wi-Fi;
- a suite of electronic driver aids;
Deliveries of the 2020 Lincoln Aviator cars from the USA to order will begin as early as this summer.
