Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: a revolutionary electric sedan with three powerful motors and outstanding specs

The Chinese company Xiaomi has unveiled the unique SU7 Ultra electric vehicle, the production version of which was recently approved by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The long-awaited new model is already available for pre-order at a price of 814,900 yuan (approximately $114,200). The car will make its first official appearance at the Guangzhou Auto Show on November 15, and the model will hit the market in March 2025. Xiaomi claims that the SU7 Ultra will be the world’s fastest mass-produced four-door car.

Striking Design and Impressive Dimensions

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has impressive dimensions: it is 5,070 mm long (or 5,115 mm, depending on the version), 1,970 mm wide, and 1,465 mm tall. The wheelbase is 3,000 mm, which ensures a spacious interior and excellent stability on the road. The front and rear overhangs range from 1,007 to 1,108 mm, and the vehicle’s curb weight is 2,360 kg. The top speed is rated at 318 km/h, with an approach angle of 12° and a departure angle of 15°, making the model ideal for dynamic driving. The car is equipped with 265/35ZR21 tires in the front and 305/30ZR21 tires in the rear, which emphasize its sporty character.

Unmatched Power from Three Electric Motors

The main technical feature of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is its three powerful electric motors:

• A 288 kW (386 l.s.) front motor, developed by Suzhou Inovance Automotive.
• The left and right rear motors, each rated at 425 kW (570 l.s.), are manufactured by Xiaomi.

The system’s total power output is an impressive 1,138 kW (1,526 l.s.), and peak torque reaches 1,770 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 1.98 seconds, and the car’s top speed is 350 km/h, making it a leader among mass-market electric vehicles in terms of speed performance.

Powerful Triple Lithium Battery from CATL

The electric sedan is equipped with a highly efficient triple lithium battery from CATL, providing a range of 620 km according to the CLTC cycle. Fast charging allows the battery to go from 10% to 80% in just 11 minutes, which greatly simplifies long trips and makes the SU7 Ultra even more appealing for everyday use.

Carbon-Fiber Rear Wing and Aerodynamic Force

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with a carbon-fiber rear wing that has a span of 1,560 mm and a chord length of 240 mm. The maximum downforce reaches 285 kg, contributing to improved handling and stability at high speeds. Carbon fiber is also used in the construction of the front seats, center console, door sills, steering wheel, and roof, with a total carbon fiber surface area of 3.74 m². This has reduced the car’s weight by 12 kg and further improved its dynamic performance.

Sporty interior with eye-catching details

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s interior features a sporty design with vibrant yellow accents that harmonize with the exterior styling. The new sport seats are embellished with embroidery and Ultra logos. Carbon fiber is used in key interior elements, adding a premium feel and enhancing overall comfort.
